Milan Malpensa Traffic Control Area
Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport hotel, located in front of Terminal 1 and directly connected to Malpensa's Terminal, is located within the "Zona a Traffico Controllato (ZTC)" or Controlled Zone (Area 10 Minuti). Special rules govern transit through and parking in this zone.
Passengers and drivers arriving by car to Milan Malpensa Airport can stop for a maximum of 10 minutes in this area to drop off passengers. Any car staying for more than 10 minutes will be fined.
Area 10 Minuti or ZTC is bounded by a series of access points marked by warning signs and controlled by cameras that automatically detect the license plate of all vehicles and the entry-exit time.
Drivers who need to stay more than 10 minutes in the Controlled Zone can find convenient parking with ViaMilano Parking service. Every access to the Controlled Zone is detected by camera and drivers need to communicate their licence plate and the type of vehicle to the hotel staff at the reception. If the hotel staff is not informed of the access and is unable to communicate these information to Airport Authorities, the entry will be deemed unauthorized and will be punished accordingly.
The hotel has 16 outdoor parking spaces on a first come first served basis and available at a cost of EUR 18 per day. Additional self parking is available in front of the hotel at SEA ViaMilano Parking Service P3, where hotel guests benefit from a 30% discount.
